Cappex Story

My first year in college, I was such a loner. One day astudent from the Campus Event Board told me to check out the International Fairthat day, so I decided to go. It was bitter and sweet because I was morecomfortable associating with older people, than talking to my peers. I sat downon a table all by myself thinking that I was doomed to be alone for the rest ofmy life. I didn’t know was that a guy was staring at me, so I didn’t payattention to him thinking that I was probably invisible to him. But then Idecided to stare back, and out of nowhere he gave me the warmest smile and said“hi!” Strangely, I felt the spell disappear, and randomly, students I’ve neverseen before from all over, started coming, wanting to talk to me, wanting tobefriend me. Before I could respond, he disappeared, and I realized, maybe hewas my angel.  A year later, we foundeach other in the tutoring lab, both our eyes lit up, and we automatically bondedas if we were long lost best friends from our past lives. On my 20thbirthday, he invited me to his parents’ house to celebrate the ending of thesemester, then the day ended with us sitting at the porch watching the sunsettogether, and then he said, “hey, bet you never knew this..” and he gave me my veryfirst kiss, “..I like you”.

I'm participating in this contest where it'll allow me to display my artistic ability (and of course... scholarship to help me go to school!!!) . I'm thinking something that screams diversity, and I need your help. It would mean ALOT to me if all of you can send me a pic of yourselves in a profile view. You don't have to look directly at the camera, you can be doing silly faces, happy, sad, insane, confused.. .. I don't care. But just send me something. Via my new email @ [email protected] . Thank uuuuu sooo much.

Program Review

I'm a student. Which means, I don't have alot of money (actually none at all). Which means I'm extremely limited to resources. Which also means anything I have must be and will be exhausted because I use it so much (even if its outdated, or pretty much ... old and dead).

As a webdesigner and graphic designer, I don't have alot of choices when it comes to a very reliable software to use for my work, which is why I heavely rely on my good ole' notepad and of course ms paint program when doing some major croping or resizing. Hey, if it's still offered with new computers, then DEFINETELY its not outdated.

Of course, it's free, but at the same time they don't really offer alot of choices.

I believe that these two programs are the "mama and papa" of the great open source programs revolution, which by the way.... its the begining of awesomeness for cheap students like myself, and of course you don't pay a cent.

First up. The program I run to use even when I do have Photoshop at hand:

Get Paint.NET!

It's an Amaizing program! Extremely user friendly. And its so easy even a caveman could do it.  FORREAL! With a little Photoshop-ness intergrated into regular MS Paint, this amaizing program is definetely a MUST. Sometimes I wonder if it should really be for free, because the quality is superb, and like photoshop, plugins are available for download, and extremely easy to install (download, extract, point and drag. done). So what are you waiting for? Get up and go get it!

Hard Copee Portfolio

Today for class I had to turn in my portfolio. Pretty much its everything I've saved up at the beginning of my freshman year to now.

Took me about a week I think. And In all honesty, I think it turned out really good. I made it so that it would match this site. So now I'm taking ebfolio everywhere with me. Isn't it awesome?... well, at least not until next week that is, because I had to turn it this week so that it would be graded. But yeah. That's all I have for you today.

I think it's time for me to give recognition to my heritage.

Here are a couple of pics I made randomly. ENjoy!
